Bio & Headshot

Well Hello there! If you've stumbled your way to this blog WELCOME! I'm a widwestern gal who is darn crafty. I love taking all kinds of pictures,  but taking funny ones of myself are my favourite. I am a t.v. and movie addict who can remeber all kinds of movie history, actors names, dates and trivia, however, I cannot seem to remember where I put my purse, keys and sometimes my children!

To learn more about me you can get a backstage tour by clicking on the different links and visiting the bio/headshot area.

i love to play dress up

Yesterday I posted school pictures of the  kids and it got me thinking about how fast they are growing up. Ella has informed me that this year she will not need a costume, she will just whip something up with a leftover dance recital costume. I'm really going to miss  dressing her up. I have so much fun with not only the costume, but the makeup and the PROPS! What's a good costume without  the props? Jeremy has said I could do some cool makeup on him, like a skeleton face, so I still have that to  hang onto.

Here's a couple of pics of my all time favorite costumes, props and make up.

This is my favorite , the sock hop waitress.  In the one below notice she is chewing gum, and has a pencil for taking orders behind her ear. What a good sport she was!

The next one wins for best make up.

All the kids at school wanted to be " dead " somethings. Jeremy decided to be a dead punk rock skater.

I temporarally died his hair black, rolled over his t-shirt with with my jeep's  painted the tires and then bloodied and bruised him up.

Those are just a few, I'll post some more throughout the month.

So excited to "play" Julia Child today. Till tomorrow...

Pilates today and then off to my dad's to deliver him some dinners and pie. Tomorrow I'll be making beef bourguignon with my friend Beth. This will be a cooking event as well as a photo op, can't wait!

Go here and get these! Today only they are buy 1 get one free! Go here  for some AMAZING ideas on how to use these. I did this one last week for Ella's  golden birthday. I'm going to make another for Beth's daughter. They are going to Taylor Swift so I'm going to "Taylor Swift it out" and hang the tickets off the box. The possibilities are endless!

This next picture has nothing to do with this post; all I can say is when did this happen?

 Have a autumn filled day!

little things i love about Autumn

It is officially fall around here, and it has felt like it for a while now. This weekend I am going to  pull out all the Halloween decos. Here are some peeks at what I have started.

The pillows are from Target, and placed up against a pumpkin colored pillow. I had a couple  of questions about the pumpkin in the necklace photo the other day. I got that idea from here. All it is is a strip of bling swirled stickers from Prima. I cut them up and adhered them to the pumpkin. You need to glue it down with hot glue or else they keep coming up.

Another idea I got from the  BHG Halloween issue was using Heidi Swapp stickers  on my candles. Right now they are on sale for $1.99 for the whole roll.

These will be in the goodie bag along with the convert able flowers giveaway.

Just a little peek  for now. As you go off to spend this first weekend of fall take a little time and try doing  this.

who wants one?

Yesterday I had the kind of headache that makes you think ... If I only had a drill! Or... maybe I need to go to the hospital. Why? I have no idea I haven't had that kind of headache in over a year. That's why I was thinking hospital. It's better today, but now I'm afraid to think too hard for fear it might come back.

It's a Blonde thing.

While I had a lull in the aching I managed to make this:

Not the hat ( i wish) but the flower cluster. Using the convertable idea you can also wear it like this:

Below same ribbon different flower. This I made for my Halloween outfit.

This next picture cracks me up. i found this shirt at Walmart. My son took the picture, and I must think I'm a real  bada$$  because of the tattoos!

Here is just the shirt.

If you want to be in the drawing,

Just Say HI!
