Bio & Headshot

Well Hello there! If you've stumbled your way to this blog WELCOME! I'm a widwestern gal who is darn crafty. I love taking all kinds of pictures,  but taking funny ones of myself are my favourite. I am a t.v. and movie addict who can remeber all kinds of movie history, actors names, dates and trivia, however, I cannot seem to remember where I put my purse, keys and sometimes my children!

To learn more about me you can get a backstage tour by clicking on the different links and visiting the bio/headshot area.

Home

Yesterday we attempted a family photo shoot for our Christmas picture. Last year I didn't send one out. We were all just trying to "get through" the holidays. I have to say I cannot wait for Jeremy to get his braces off. He will not smile in any photos. Maybe it's just being a teenager, I sure do miss those days when he would pose for me, and let me dress him up.

Here's a just a sampling. Photo credit... Thanks Sheila ! Pause the sountrack player on the right!/

season of love

I made this last night for Beth's daughter. Beth is surprising her with Taylor Swift tickets to tomorrow nights concert. So I offered to make her this box to deliver the tickets in.

The tickets say open "swift" ly get it!

One last picture. I love wall decals and Beth recently told me about this little find from Target.

It's a decal chalkboard that is reusable/ removable. I used artist like chalk from Office max and taped my 20 little things i love about Autumn to it.

 Enjoy your weekend!

Where's the beef (boof)?

I had so much fun yesterday, dressing and talking like Julia Child. The Beef Bourguignon was delicious.

Definitely the best comfort food ever. There is none left!

The kids came home from school and stood at the stove asking when they could PLEASE have some.

I told them as soon as they " sang for their supper" .

"Sing for our supper? " they said

Yes, you must say " boof bourguignon" just like this. I then gave them my best Julia  imitation.

Jeremy said I was crazy and would not do it , so I eventually had to feed him. By the end of the night Ella was getting really good at it, and finally got to eat.

(Just kidding)

Here's a look at yesterday. I have now decided that this will be my Halloween costume as well, however  the height  thing is going to be a real problem ... and possibly the hair.

But after yesterday I  have that voice down I tell you!

How cute is my friend Beth, she played right along too!

 Bon Appetit!

i love to play dress up

Yesterday I posted school pictures of the  kids and it got me thinking about how fast they are growing up. Ella has informed me that this year she will not need a costume, she will just whip something up with a leftover dance recital costume. I'm really going to miss  dressing her up. I have so much fun with not only the costume, but the makeup and the PROPS! What's a good costume without  the props? Jeremy has said I could do some cool makeup on him, like a skeleton face, so I still have that to  hang onto.

Here's a couple of pics of my all time favorite costumes, props and make up.

This is my favorite , the sock hop waitress.  In the one below notice she is chewing gum, and has a pencil for taking orders behind her ear. What a good sport she was!

The next one wins for best make up.

All the kids at school wanted to be " dead " somethings. Jeremy decided to be a dead punk rock skater.

I temporarally died his hair black, rolled over his t-shirt with with my jeep's  painted the tires and then bloodied and bruised him up.

Those are just a few, I'll post some more throughout the month.

So excited to "play" Julia Child today. Till tomorrow...
