Sag/ and Oscar odds and ends

Tonight is the Screen Actors Guild Awards. I love this awards ceremony, because this where the actors nominate and award each other. Kinda funny and self indulgent. I like to watch this one because just like the Golden Globes it is a relaxed atmosphere and  there is alcohol served, so you never know what is going to be said.

Saw this in the paper this morning. If you are going to have an Oscar party, these little factoids might be fun for a trivia game.

1. The Curious Case of Benjamin Button has 13 nominations this year it has tied with 8 other films to        become the 2nd most nominated movie in history.

2. Who is the most nominated actor in the history of the Oscars?

     Meryl Streep

    How many? 15

     That is 3 ahead of Katherine Hepburn and Jack Nicholson, who each have 12.

4. Who is the youngest person to garner 6 nominations?

     Kate Winslet- The Reader  makes this her 6th.

I've been a bit mia lately, but I'm back now

Thought about giving up the whole blogging thing.

Holidays were tough without mom, and with all that I have on my plate, I've really been struggling

Raising a 13 year old is hard, having asick husband is hard.

Grateful for friends and family support.

Started working out again and that has helped.

This months theme is Rise Up. I waited a bit to start, but once I did and I listened to the audio, I was able to snap myself out of the state I was in and am continuing to try to " rise up" to whatever each day brings me. Trying to see what the lesson is and be a better me.

If you ever are feeling down or sorry for yourself, visit nienie. This woman survived a plane crash and was burnt over 90% of her body. She is now back at home and continuing to be a wife and mother while trying to recover and cope with her injuries.
