Bio & Headshot

Well Hello there! If you've stumbled your way to this blog WELCOME! I'm a widwestern gal who is darn crafty. I love taking all kinds of pictures,  but taking funny ones of myself are my favourite. I am a t.v. and movie addict who can remeber all kinds of movie history, actors names, dates and trivia, however, I cannot seem to remember where I put my purse, keys and sometimes my children!

To learn more about me you can get a backstage tour by clicking on the different links and visiting the bio/headshot area.

Capture Life

I'm not an outdoors kind of girl.

I am not an adreneline junkie.

I don't like to sit on an airplane let alone jump out of one.

I will never get on the Tower of Terror... EVER.

I like to keep my two feet on the ground.

But something I am is ... a gadget kind of girl...

 These are my latest gadgets.

I've wanted them since I first saw them.

You may remeber that I wear the same shoes everyday... my Frye cowboy boot mules.

So, for me to think of putting a different shoe on is a big deal in my world.

This shoe is marketed as a shoe that will help you firm and tone your tush as you walk.

I originally planned on just wearing them in the house, but then our very young neighbor passed away from pancreatic cancer and he and his wife used to go for walks.

I got to thinking...

why not ask her and a couple of our other neighbors to keep walking with her.

So here I am walking, and I love it.

Now, I also have to say the shoes are amazing...

No, my butt is not transformed, however, I can report that the shoes are the most amazing things to walk in. I do not get shin splints in these. I end up feeling it in my hips, calves, and backs of my legs.

I spend alot of time from the months of January to March complaining and longing for the weather to change, only to have it blossom and then simply miss it.

I am ashamed to admit that this...

is just steps from my house and I have never fully appreciated it till now.

Yesterday I took my camera with and CAPTURED this...

It was wonderful to get out in the the fresh air, alone, enjoying the quite and just taking in the beauty of my surroundings.

And I thought to myself... sometimes I need to ...

Take a leap.... cross the bridge...

walk my own path, forge ahead, and try new things...

So that I don't miss the...

the simple beauty that surrounds me.

What will you CAPTURE today?....

I'm going to...

Well said :) My Mom swears by these shoes...I never knew they help with shin splints. Now you have me thinking I need a pair. I just came back from the doctors and he is on me to get back on my exercise routine again. I did so well a year ago that I was able to get off blood pressure medicine. It looks like a few of those pounds are starting to creep back up. Time to get on my walking shoes and go. I love the path you are able to walk each and everyday. Truly Breath Taking! So wonderful that you and the others are able to support your neighbor together by walking, talking and enjoying this beautiful scenery. I think next time I take a walk I will bring my camera along too....Thanks for the inspiration!

I have a hard time finding sneakers that work so when i do I buy several pairs. Well it has been a few years and I have gone through my comfortable sneakers so I'm in the market for a new pair...

I think it is so great that you are walking with your neighbor. My stepdad's mother died of pancreatic cancer so I know how sad it is to see one pass so quickly with a fearce illness.
