Moving forward

I know I have been a bit MIA here, but we have been preparing for my moms memorial that was held last night. That was the most diffucult thing I have ever been through. The night was so filled with love, by so many people that loved her. The turn out was not surprising and was a testament to the truly amazing person she was. The outpouring of love and support we have recieved from people that cared for her has been very uplifting for our family.

So as we try to move on, tonight my dear friend, husband and I are going to go to see Quantum Solace, I'm not usually a big action film fan, but they have made this night exclusivley a QS movie night. My mom has passed. Though I have lost  the best mother anyone could hope for I am grateful for the year we had together. I am grateful to have had a years worth of laughs, lunches, holidays, movies and sleepovers with her. My mother showed such bravery and courage in the end. She faced words that noone ever wants to hear, and she did so with absolute selflessness. Till the time she could no longer speak she was still giving of herself,wanting her bingo friends to have one more gift from her, her granddaughters picked out jewlery with her, she was making sure we would thank the nurses and all the doctors, and she asked just one thing of each of us and that was to take care of each other.My mother taught us to love hard, deeply and passionatley, to say it and mean it every day.

I just wantd to say a huge Thank You to all my friends and even old friends who have contacted me to offer your support. I am forever grateful to you for being here to help lift me up.

Mom is home and is as comfortable as possible.She is surrounded by those who love her. The coming days will be diffucult.

I truly have felt the hands of God in the last several days, he has given us a year of gifts with her and the gifts keep on coming. I love you all, Thank you
